Can SX1276 and RF96 chip communicate using LoRa and using the same frequency?

Hi Tanty, yes, they are actually the same chip, only the marking is different as HopeRF seems to order larger quantity to customise it.

So what do i need to add to the coding for SX1276 as the receiver? I tried to upload the LoRa library example code to SX1276 and the voltage.node code to Whisper node. But I tried couple times and they still unable to communicate

I'm not sure what board or connection you have with your SX1276. Please have a look at the RadioHead RH95 library as they have a list of tested boards and maybe some additional documentation.
